Greg Lewis knows a thing or two about marine electronics, and how valuable it is to have all systems absolutely ship shape.
Raised by a marine electrician father, Greg spent his school holidays helping his father Peter Lewis wire up boats around Auckland. Since then, Greg has gone on to forge his own career in the marine electrical industry. Greg comments that nowadays “battery and electrical systems are critical, particularly because of all the digital switching” across so many marine electrical systems.
Of course, one of the most critical environments for reliability is the high pressure match racing world. Again, Greg has proven experience, having been employed as an electronics engineering specialist over multiple America’s Cup campaigns for Emirates Team New Zealand, Oracle Team USA, and Ineos Team UK.
